Jessica and Ashlee Simpson Launch Tween Clothing Line At The Bay

A pregnant Jessica Simpson, her sister Ashlee and nephew Bronx arrived to a bustling crowd of fans and shoppers Saturday at The Bay in Toronto to unveil Jessica’s new tween clothing line. The size 7-16 collection, Jessica Simpson Girls, joins the Jessica Simpson Collection women’s line as the star label’s newest addition. The newly launched girl’s line is a collaboration with sister Ashlee, and is full of All American-meets-rocker inspired cozy cable-knits, edgy moto jackets, tween-friendly teal, purple, fuchsia and cream tones and holiday-ready Fair Isle sweaters and dresses. The line varies in price- from the $40 range for a burnout tee to the $175 range for a luxe and ladylike faux fur trimmed coat.

Glowing in a flower-adorned camel coloured wide brim hat, bump-boasting dress and cozy ribbed sweater, Jessica greeted the all-ages lineup in her southern drawl with a cheery “Hi Canada!” before the singer-turned-designer and her sister signed autographs for fans. Little Bronx, Ashlee Simpson’s three year old son with ex Pete Wentz, also charmed the crowd with a sweet “Hi!” and even signed some autographs of his own. VIP treatment was given to those fans who spent $50 or more on items from the new Jessica Simpson Girls collection. Those shoppers were given access to guarantee they would meet the 31-year old star.

Moms, dads, families and fans of all ages enjoyed music by the Simpson sisters while they browsed Jessica’s collection for women including her signature platform heels, along with the new girls line for, as Jessica described it, “the young’ns”. Simpson was spirited as she kicked off the event. Preparing to unveil the line for little ones, the mom-to-be addressed the group, saying “Enjoy it and we can’t wait to meet you!”
